Where is Grayson County, VA?

Grayson County is adjacent to the North Carolina state line in SW Virginia.  A 45-minute drive from I-77 or I-81 brings you to the crossroads of the Crooked Road (Hwy 58) and the "Lakes to Florida Highway" (Hwy 21) in the town of Independence, the Grayson County seat.

The 425 square miles of the County encompass the highest mountain in Virginia (Mt. Rogers, home of Grayson Highlands State Park), the Blue Ridge Music Center,  and parts of the New River, Jefferson National Forest, The Crooked Road (Virginia's Heritage Music Trail), the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the New River Trail.

"With appreciation of our past and awareness of our present, we can create a safe, sane future."
